About

hank after web full 200x300 AboutMy name is Hank Pantier, and Erie has been my home for nearly five years.

Before moving here, my wife Mary and I lived in Lafayette for about five years. When we began looking for a community in which we could raise our family, we knew Erie would be that place. Our decision was cemented when we drove down the streets, looking at potential homes, and people waved at us like we already lived here.

Let me tell you why this is so important to my family and me.

My dad was in the Army when I was a kid. Being a “military brat” meant my family moved around a lot when I was growing up, never living any place longer than about four years. Mary and I continued this trend after first getting married as we looked for a place where we could have both the quality of life we craved and a place to not just call home, but one that felt like home. I now find myself in a place that is new to me, as I have put down roots for the first time in my life, and wonderfully familiar as we raise our family alongside so many other new and growing families.

Over the last couple of years, I have been involved with and served on the Grandview HOA (the last year as president).  I have learned much from this service.  As a board we have accomplished many things: the ratification of architecture review committee guidelines, worked to implement a neighborhood-wide waste collection service, hired a new landscaping company with a near 30% yearly savings, and created a comprehensive landscape plan. The experience I gained working with the current town government on this last project was what initially gave me the desire to run. I want to take the experience gained from working with the HOA and put it to good use serving the town.
